Introduction
Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu!
Welcome back to Soul&Society!
It’s a common fact that the majority of young Muslims today waste their time indulging in harmful and useless activities like wasting time endlessly scrolling through Social Media or spending hours on Video games or watching Movies. This time can be spent developing themselves by learning useful skills, gaining knowledge on the Deen, hitting the gym, and learning martial arts. Of course, the occasional Entertainment is good but there’s a time and place for things. in today’s Issue, we are going to learn just that, how we can optimize our time and make the most of each moment:

“Take advantage of five matters before five other matters: your youth before you become old; your health, before you fall sick; your wealth, before you become poor; your free time before you become preoccupied, and your life, before your death.” [Musnad Imam Ahmad]

Effective Time Management.
Here are some actionable tips to help you manage your time effectively:
Prioritize Tasks: Categorize tasks by urgency and importance. Focus on what’s important and not just what’s urgent.
Plan around the Daily prayers: Plan your tasks around the Daily prayers, other than being mandatory, they act as excellent time references.
Set Daily Goals: Begin each day with clear, achievable goals. This helps keep you focused and motivated throughout the day.
Eliminate Distractions: Identify and minimize distractions in your environment. Use tools like website blockers and noise-canceling headphones to maintain concentration.
Take Breaks: Schedule regular breaks to avoid burnout. Techniques like the Pomodoro Technique can help maintain productivity by balancing work and rest.
SPIRITUAL INSIGHT
Time for Islam
We must take time out of our day for Allah, and to learn about Islam.
Regular Prayer: The five daily prayers help structure our day and provide regular moments to pause and reconnect with Allah.
Daily Quran: It’s important to recite the Quran daily for a few minutes, and read its translation for better understanding.
Islamic Books: Reading Books is a great way of accumulating knowledge. Read Books on Proper Aqeedah, the history of Islam, or study the Biography of the Prophet.
Reflection: Spend time daily in reflection (muraqabah) to assess how you’re using your time and align your activities with your values.
Accountability: Remember the Hadith: "The feet of the son of Adam shall not move from before his Lord on the Day of Judgment until he is asked about five things..." (Tirmidhi). Reflect on how you will answer regarding your time.
